I had a great childhood in Istanbul
(Turkey).

I played the recorder in my primary school's police band which
performed in the local stadium on national holidays. In 5th grade,
I started leading the band. :)

My first gig was to an audience of thousands, playing the accordion!

I got the stage bug in high school, The
Koç School. After winning a few awards at the school's
talent competition, I knew there was no going back!

In 1996, I moved to England
(UK). I had a horrible haircut back then. Argh! :)
My band at the university, UMIST,
was called The Whistlers.

In 1998, I was invited back at the school for a gig.

In 2000, Whistlers mutated into Shiva. The band survived its members
finding other jobs and a couple of them getting married. Our most
successful gig was at The
Roadhouse.

In 2004, we played at Chas's wedding. I'm hidden at the back, playing
the keyboard in one of the pictures below and the spanish guitar
in the other one.

My first gig after 2 years of recording was in March 2006, rocking
the International night at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine
with Ozge.
